Cost Engineer:

Maid Fast Construction, Inc. is seeking a qualified Cost Engineer to join our team.

Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Assess cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project, including drawings, SOVs, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Identify cost trends and assist in cost reduction and process improvement strategies.
Prepare and manage a central cost monitoring database and support historical cost management.
Provide forecasted estimates on costs required for project completion, outstanding extra work costs, the amount of work performed but unbilled, and pending claims.
Manage the project budget, track project expenses, and minimize exposure and risks.
Collect, review, and approve progress payments submitted by subcontractors and vendors and submit to general contractors.
Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and public agencies for new bid openings.
Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts and scope of work for final signature.
